I am immensely grateful to Takashi Matsuoka-san from Japan who has painstakingly checked several chapters of Part-I and sent a detailed list of corrections to me. His note book has been scanned and is attached with this page for downloads. The cover page of his notebook of corrections is reproduced below. His kind words of appreciation in the accompanying letter provided me a lot of incentive and convinced me to take up the challenge of writing the solutions of problems in Part-II of the book.
I thank my colleague and friend Subhash Chaturvedi for bringing several errors in the Part-II of the book to my notice. Many students of Hyderabad University have contributed to the list of corrections. Efforts of Mr. Satwik Bhradwaj and Anusuya Pal (WiFi) deserve special mention here.
