I feel that those who appear for CSIR JRF examination while studying their M,Sc may not be getting
adequate time for any extra preparation.Too many things to do in too short a time. This seems to be the case at HCU where continuous assessment system leaves little margin for doing anything beyond the course related activities.
Every year in the past a few students have approached asking for advise about how to prepare for the CSIR test. It is also obvious from the past experience that many students have managed to do well in CSIT exam while doing regular MSc courses. On the other hand many have preferred to wait upto one year or more and then make a serious attempt for writing the JRF.
Whatever be the case, the question remains, given our system which attracts full attention towards regular MSc courses, how does one prepare for CSIR or any other similar examination in short time?Is there a strategy that can make a decisive difference.
I do not have any ready made answers. I am creating a discussion forum for all such students who may be appearing for CSIR examination in near future. I hope to engage them into a discussion activity which will
benefit every one. Hopefully this activity will also lead to some a well defined strategy for preparation.
Therefore I invite all those, who plan to appear in CSIR JRF examination in Dec 2013, to create an account on website http://0space.org and start posting their questions, comments etc in appropriate forum. I along with some others friends will try to respond to your queries.
