Course Pack

Definition of Course Pack
 
  1. An academic coursepack is a collection of materials used in the classroom,distributed either in digital file format (“eReserves”) or photocopied in book format or as class handouts.
  2. Coursepacks are printed collections of readings assembled by teachers to supplement college and university courses.
  3. Coursepack. A printed or digital collection of assigned readings, as for a college course, typically including an assortment of periodical articles or sections of longer books.

 

 
Usage in Proofs
This will be a well defined set of resources made available on line on 0space.org.
All resources of  a course may come as a collection of  one or more packs. Each pack will have a
(i) Unit of Lessons, (ii) Problem Solving Unit (iii) Evaluation and Assessment unit.

CHART

Definition of Chart

  1. a way of presenting information, usually by putting it into vertical rows and boxes on a sheet of paper, so it can be easily understood:
  2. A chart is a diagram, picture, or graph which is intended to make information easier to understand.
  3. information in the form of a table, diagram, etc.

Usage in PROOFS
CHART is  page where links to all resources in a particular subject area (e.g. Quantum Mechanics, Group Theory...) are made available.
The link are classified and presented  in form of a grid of boxes

STACK


Usage in PROOFS
Stack is used for an aggregate formed of Lessons on one topic.
It comes with an overview in the beginning.
At the end each Stack comes with Concluding Remarks, Selected References etc.
Stack Will also be used for a aggregates of Problem Sets.

ENDNOTE


Definition of Endnote:

PROOFS Usage
Endnotes appear at the end of every lesson. Anything extra  related  to the lesson, like references,
historical remarks, suggestions for  further reading, links to related article etc will appear in the Endnotes of Lessons.
 

STOCKPILE

Definition of stockpile:

  1. a gradually accumulated reserve of something
  2. A stockpile of things is a large quantity of them that have been stored for future use.
  3. a large collection of things that may be needed
  4. a large amount of food, goods, or weapons that are kept ready for future use

 

Usage in PROOFSs
Stockpiles are  sets of resources arranged in tree hierarchy.  The stockpiles contains resources in a form
that is  expected to be most useful for students and teachers. 

WAREHOUSE

Definitions of Warehouse:

  1. a structure or room for the storage of merchandise or commodities
  2. A warehouse is a large building where raw materials or manufactured goods are stored until they are exported to other countries or distributed to shops to be sold.
  3. a large building for storing things before they are sold, used, or sent out to shops,
Usage in PROOFS:
Warehouse is a collection of resources arranged in a tree hierarchy. Different items  are loosely related.
Some of the resources  are stored temporarily and may be moved later to another collection.
Some are stored temporarily and may be removed when not  required any more.  

CHALK TALK

Definitions of Chalk Talk:

  1. a talk or lecture in which the speaker uses a blackboard and chalk.
  2. an informal lecture with pertinent points, explanatory diagrams, etc, shown on a blackboard
  3. a talk or lecture illustrated at a blackboard


PROOFS Usage:
 Chalk Talk Notes is used for Lecture Notes.
Chalk talks have plain format with no special attributes and usually come as one unit of continuous notes
with headings separating different parts.

Repository

Definitions of Repository:

  1. a place where things are stored and can be found
  2. a place where large quantities of things are stored or kept safe ;
  3. a place, room, or container where something is deposited or stored.

Usage in PROOFS:
The resources without any attributes,or  special features are  stored in different tree like hierarchies 
named Repository.The resources in different repositories  are linked to forms new resources to suit
well defined specific goals.

Module

Definition of Module

  1. : any in a series of standardized units for use together: such as
    (1) : a unit of furniture or architecture
    (2) : an educational unit which covers a single subject or topic

Package

Definition of Package:

  1. A number of related things regarded as a unit.

2. A set of things agreed to as a whole

3. A combination of items considered, offered or sold as a unit.

 

Bundle 

Session

3. a period of time used for a particular activity, especially by a group of people

Usage in PROOFS


Session used for a resource that is designed for a particular activity by  an individual or a group of people
