Help-Page --- 9 Define your own search key

For page specific messages
For page author info

The content is can be searched by entering search key  and clicking on the  Search  button
available at the top of the page.

Search key is formed by giving Category code,  Area Code  and Module Munber of an area.
This is explained below.

Currently accepted Category Codes are:

  • LECS          (Lecture Notes)
  • PROBLEM   (Problems)
  • SOLVED    (Solved Examples)
  • SHORTQ  (Short Questions)
  • TUTS        (Tutorials)
  • WEBQ      ( WebQuest)
  • PSU         (Problem Solving Units)

Currently accepted Area  Codes are

  • CMe      (Classical Mechanics)
  • EMT      (Electromagnetic Theory)
  • QMe      (Quantum Mechanics)
  • MPh      ( Mathematical Physics)
  • CXV      (Complex Variables)
  • GTh       (Group Theory)
  • VSp      (Vector Spaces)
  • QFT     (Qunatum Field Theory)

These codes are case insensitve so youmay enter any one of
               cme, CME, cME, CMe, cME
search results for all contents of Classical Mechanics will be listed.

Module Numbers : :

Each area of Physics is didvided into several smaller topics. All content for a topic is called a module.
A complete list of module numbers can be seen here.

How to Construct Search Key?

A full search key is formed as  <cc/ac-mn>, where

cc :: Category Code     ac :: Area Code  mn :: Module Number

You may also submit search a substring of  of the full key  <cc/ac-mn>

  •   For  searching  all content of a category  -::-   use  key <cc>
  •   For  searching  all content of a category and an area  -::- use  key  <cc/ac>
  •   For searching  categories  and all modules of area -::-  use  key   <ac>
  •   For searching an area and a module content    -::- use   key    <ac-mn>

Try Examples

  • All Lecture Notes    < LECS >
  • Lecture Notes Partial Difefrential Equations   < LECS/PDE >
  • Problem Solving Unit  of WKB approximation    < PSU/QM-22 >
  • All content on WKB approximation        < QM-22 >
  • All problem solving units    < PSU  >
